its a good innitiative and most people must start to lern more about living green because global warming does not only affect a few number of people, but it affects us all and we must all take part in saving the our planet
ReplyDeletetrue that sister, we all must start acting soon before its too late. planting trees is a simple step in saving our planet.
DeleteThis a good initiative and a grat way to get people to change the way thier lives for the better and also to save our plant which is something i believe everybody should commit to.After all it is our plant and if we do not look after it who will. Celebs like this set an excellent example and we should support them in the best way possible.
ReplyDeletewe really must start supporting them and stop waiting for other people or the government to do action whilst we can also do something to save our planet.
DeleteWell Parlotones are pulling a good project here and is beed runing for quiet some time, but i dont think this will changepeople's lifestyle to live green. This issue of changing the world and it's climate resulted in failture the previous by nations. Lets face it the Parlotones are doing CSI; are making money and are creating lot of publicity for themselve.
ReplyDeletewell they might be getting publicity but lets look at the bigger picture here, these people are helping in saving our planet and the best thing we can do is support and help them.lets be grateful because not a lot of artsist are doing what they are doing.
DeleteIt is a very important that people should know about issues that affect the climate and as for using the Parlotones as the brand embassadors of Carbon free, well i can only say great choice.
ReplyDeletei could not agree more Vincent. this a well known group and who else can influence the public than them.
DeleteNow these guys know how to gain publicity fromall aspects of life. Im a huge fan of the parlotones and for them to be involved in a campaign to help save the environment, in my eyes thats a big winner. And I cant wait to go see them live in concert.
ReplyDeleteyou should really go to the concert sister and i hope that a lot of people can be influenced by this band just like you.after all if we dont save our planet then who will???
DeleteSome people don't take this thing about climate change seriously. They just take it lightly like it's something that will disappear in a while. It's good to see that there are musicians who take this initiative seriously coz it is a very serious issue that will have a huge impact on our lives in the future.
ReplyDeletei agree with you that some people still dont take this issue seriously hence i think there should be a lot of other artists to support the Parlotones and a lot of Campaigns to educate the public about the importance of saving the planet before its too late.
Deletewhat they are doing is great.people should start taking this seriously.i must say they know how to generate publicity for themselves.
ReplyDeletelets not only focus on the publicity they are getting Nokuthula, but the amazing work they are doing in helping to save our planet and influencing a lot of people to do so too.
DeleteThis is really good we really should GO GREEN in order not to catch up with global warming and thats if we aint facing it already
ReplyDeletefor our planets sake, i hope we all learn more about this serious issue Thobeka so that even if we are facing it already but try to ease it and perhaps even limit it to zero. if we all support each other then nothing is impossible and we can save the planet for the coming generation.
DeleteThis is a great awareness campaign, hopefully now that the Parlotones are involved more and more people will have a change of mind and start taking care of the planet.
ReplyDeletethat is exactly what i also though because this is a group that a lot of people love and support, so its going to be a little bit easy for many of us to be influenced by them and perhaps also join hands in fighting for our oplanet.
DeleteIt is great to see that celebrities take responsibility and get involved to the Carbon Free campaign, Parlitones as an example, I think they are going to gain more publicity by taking part on this campaign and this is the best way of getting involved to practices of CSI, thumbs up Parlitones we appriciate everything you do to this campaign :)
ReplyDeleteThumbs up really Mr Ngcongo, I agree that they will definately get more publicity but then again we have to say that after all the good work that they are doing they surely deserve it.If you saying we must appriciate their work then please do so by atleast planting two trees to show your support.
Deletei say its a great awarenss the parlotons are creating because really this issues are important because if we really don't look at them we destroying the world we leave in
ReplyDeleteReally Grace if we dont save our environment then who will.we really should support the parlotones in the great work they are doing.
DeleteIt is a positive thing that our role models are concerned about our daily living.Parlotones is setting a good example to its followers by being involved in education. Many people will consider this group as best because it takes education seriously.
ReplyDeleteI consider it best too my darling. who else can we look up to other than people who not only entertain us but educate us as well.
DeleteBig ups to the Parlotons, they are setting a good example to the rest of the celebrities.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, other celebrities must also set an example by helping the Parlotones, because i know that once a lot celebrities are involved then more people will start joining in and saving the planet.
Deletelast week friday i was listening to uj fm and the parltones were been interviewd by the lerato and it is good that they will be planting trees on the bunting raod campuse
ReplyDeleteWow I didnt know that the Parlotones were at Bunting Road for an interview, thanks for the information Clive. I am looking forward to seeing them plant those trees in my Campus:Bunting. Big ups.
DeleteIt is good to see local artists, taking part in such big initiatives. The parlotones are setting a good example to other artists.
ReplyDeleteit really is an amazing example that they are setting and lets just hope that other local artists get the bigger picture and also support.
DeleteThe Parlotones are doing a good thing by taking part in such initiaties, not only do they focus on making good music but more importantly they care about out environment,we shuld also look up to them and do the same.
ReplyDeleteI wish a lot of people can think like you, we really should do something as Citizens of South Africa and stop waiting and blaming other people about things that we also have power over.Lets save our planet people.
Deletehow many celebrities out there are actually having an impact in our lifes? I applaud the parlotones for actually bringing up such important matters and actually taking the initiative to bring this to life.
ReplyDeleteThey really deserve a bow for their good job and for being such an inspiration to a lot of South Africans out there.
DeleteI was waiting for this for a very long time, finaly it is happening.I was first introduced to their music by a friend of mine since then,I am a big fan of the parlotones.
ReplyDeleteAm also a big fan too my sister and I think its better that we support the people who do not only care about profit and fame, but also care about the environment that we are living in.
DeleteInvolving prominent people especially celebrities in the concert is another way of getting support from the people.Lets save our environment!
ReplyDeleteYes we all know that a lot of people out there only support a Campaign or event if only there are Celebrities involved. And yes I agree with you that we all have to support this initiative because after all its our planet and our responsibility.
Deletewhat the Parlatones is doing is great because we need to educate more about global warming as still there are people who do not preserve our green environment
ReplyDeleteIndeed Buyiswa, and I think a lot still needs to be done in educating our fellow Africans on how to preserve our green environment. I think some people are still not aware that they too can help in saving the planet especially people from rural areas who have less information about things happening around the Country or World.
Deleteits surprised how our celebs/artists in nowadays take their role as public figures/role models of many people to persuade the public, parlotones did the great thing i wish if other artists could learn from them that music isnt only about entertainment but is it also about caring your community.
ReplyDeleteMusic is really not only about entertainment indeed. The only way to make this a big success is if a lot of Celebrities get involved which will surely guarantee a lot people taking action.
DeleteIm actually humbled by this group , what they are trying to achieve is in fact very good and will help alot.
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again, they are really an inspiration and true role models.
DeleteThis group is so much supporting a lot of things that come with the time that we are living so big-up to them for encouraging our people to always support the things that matter to us in this world. It really shows that they are human and they are precticing a really good public relations.
ReplyDeleteThey really are great heros indeed, and they always support important things like Education.
Deletehi. what apart from educating the public are the parlotones going to do during the concert to also contribute in the whole going green venture? are they leading by example or are they just waiting to be paid from the association with the going green org. ?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your Question, The Parlotones apart from Education are also going to be planting trees around to promote Green Environment. They were also at the University of Johannesburg (UJ)Auckland Park Bunting Road Campus for an Interview.
DeleteI really like this initiative, this band is doing something different, they are educating the public and giving something back to the public and its environment.
ReplyDeleteI love it, I heard about it and immediately thought this was a great idea and way to get people more aware of the concerns we are facing as a country. It was a good way of going about using the Parlotones as they are well known and people love and enjoy their music. I also heard the concert was a great success and it was packed so clearly they've achieved their goal in educating, informing and yet getting support from people also entertaining them. So everyone benefitted which was a good thing.
