The month of March was a month were many could not wait for the 10th to see their favourite star, Usher Raymond. The Grammy award winning super star made wonders at the Orlando stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg. He exceeded his fans expectations as he rolled on to the stage in style with lightning, thunder and visual effects.
The amazing crowd of more than 25 000 people who could not stop screaming was a real proof that this was a well- planned event. This event also gave opportunities to our local stars like Durban based rapper Adbus who was selected to be one of the opening acts for Usher. Other well-known local artists like Liquid deep, Gang of Instrumentals, Zakes Bantwini and many more also took part in the event. We can really say that the Organisers made a thorough research about their target audience, production and Media relations & placement as the Media was all eyes and ears on the 10th at the Orlando Stadium.
This was an opportunity for people to network. Equipments, stage and lighting's were all ready and tested days before the Concert to assure the its success. To make less worries about transport, Rea Vaya's were arranged to take 20 000 fans from the Nasrec Rea Vaya stations at the Transport Hub near FNB Stadium stations to the Orlando Stadium. People who attended the event wished it could not stop and had no regrets of their money. This huge event was made possible by Hansa Pielsner and it really proved that Hansa Public Relations Practitioners really know how to prove their standard. Hansa Pilsner General Manager, Mosidi Seretlo was also impresed with an impresing job done by his team.
This event was well organised. This shows that the Hansa Pielsner have good PRP.The junior prp's can learn more from this event in order to have more interesting events to come.
ReplyDeleteyes indeed marvee, its always wise to learn from the best and that is exactly what we should be doing as future PRP's.
DeleteUsher's coming to South Africa was a well planned event.I was inpired his involvement to our townships such when he visited Tembisa High in Tembisa township.Good and well planned event need a good event planner.
ReplyDeletethe legend really made himself useful to his fellow fans and made sure that he keeps his good image by visiting even the townships like Thembisa as you are saying my darling.
Deletehow i wished going to the event by unfortunetly i coud not go by the vent its self was a success all thnks to a good team that hanled that event
ReplyDeletea good team indeed, we see that by the end results of the marvellous event.
DeleteIm just glad that some of the PRP's out there really know how to organise events.
ReplyDeletethere are a many out there my darling, lets just study hard so that one day we woould be exactly like them after all there is nothing impossible.
Deletebig up to big concerts they always set the bar high
ReplyDeleteyes, and its a nice thing that they give pressure to those concerts to come after them to do their best too.
DeleteBig up to the PRPs this is what we are capable of
ReplyDeleteand do not forget that we also need the help of other departments, hence they are just as important as we are as PRP's inorder to make a thrilling event.
DeleteWell planned event we should learn from it as we are FUTURE PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTITIONERS.
ReplyDeletewe must take such opportunities to learn indeed, because its only a few years or months before we too are expected to plan such event.
Deleteokay it was well planned and it goes to show how possible it is to host such big events but guys i hear you all saying big up to the prp's but this event had people from marketing, advertising, accounting and sound engineers,my point is that these event was a success because the mentioned departments worked together as a system to execute that particular concert.
ReplyDeletenicely said brother you really are an upcoming PRP,and yes i totally agree with you that it is not only the PRP's who made this event a success but other departments too that are also crussialy important in an events success.each dapertment needs acknowledgement so that they can feel recognised and accepted and have the spirit to do more next time.
Deleteoh yes Vincent, and also remembering "the system is bigger than the sum of its part".usher 's event clearly showed how the above mentioned departments were working together to achieve the same goal, and that in any down fall or success they did not put blame on each other instead they worked together to come up with positive solutions
ReplyDeletecouldnt have said it better myself sister, the whole is really bigger than the sum of its parts and that we need not to forget as future PRPs.
Deletei can say it was planned well;by including our young local artists to perform in this events it shows that we (as SA music industry) are no longer undermined and we are growing.
ReplyDeletea well planned event indeed Mthokozisi as it also gave our local artist a platform to expose themselves and i hoped they learned a lot from the Legend Usher Raymond who has been in this game for quite a long time now.
Deleteyes, it really gave our local artist a platform to expose themselves to the fullest and they surely must have learned a lot from Usher as someone who has been in the game for a long time.
ReplyDeletea well organised performace it was, only if our local artists were measured in the eyes of the public the same way
ReplyDeletei think they will be soon, slowly but surely you know.
Deletewell i can see and from what i have heard it was the bomb. My heart is still sore because i could not go and i had front row tickets eish.
